Mission:
The Pre-Veterinary Medical Association at San Diego State University is a campus organization that serves to educate the public, students, and membership about the field of veterinary medicine. We foster an environment of support, teamwork, and general compassion towards animals and humans alike. The membership shall strive to gain exposure to various aspects of veterinary medicine through volunteering, hands-on experience, and education.
How to Join:
If you're not sure if this club is for you, please feel free to sit in on one of our meetings, or one of our activities to see if the club is a good fit for you. Also please look through the Requirements below to make sure you understand what it means to be a 'Dues Paying Member' vs. an 'Active Member' of this club!
Requirements to be an Active Member of PVMA:
1. You must be a currently enrolled Student at SDSU.
2. You must attend at least half the meetings a semester.
3. You must attend at least one community service event a semester.
4. You must work or volunteer at an animal-related organization for at least ten hours a semester.
5. You must pay $5 in the form of a check, made payable to 'SDSU PVMA' by the second meeting of the semester.
Requirements to be an Event Member PVMA:
1. You must attend at least one meeting a semester.
2. You must attend at least one community service event a semester.
3. You must keep in contact with the president via email throughout the semester.
4. You must pay $5 in the form of a check, made payable to 'SDSU PVMA' by the second meeting of the semester.
Requirements to be an Dues Paying Member PVMA:
1. You must pay $5 in the form of a check, made payable to 'SDSU PVMA' by the second meeting of the semester.
